Located on the California/Nevada border in the Sierra Nevada mountain range, Lake Tahoe is the second largest alpine lake in North America. It also boasts the largest concentration of ski resorts in North America, and includes; Mt. Rose-Ski, Northstar, Sierra, Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, Heavenly and Kirkwood.
