Niseko Snow Resort

Niseko, often referred to as the ‘powder capital of the world’, produces snow conditions unlike any other. You could even say that snow falls in this ski resort as regularly as leaves in autumn!
The resort, which is located 120km west of Sapporo on Japan’s North Island of Hokkaido, includes four interconnected resorts; Hanazono, Hirafu, Higashiama and Annapuri. And, the great news is that you can access all four resorts under the one lift pass!
It’s not just the snow which makes Niseko such a popular snow destination. On a clear day, the scenery of Niseko is nothing short of breathtaking. Set against the backdrop of Mt Yotei – a dormant volcano, those who climb to the mountain summit have a bird’s eye view of the region and can see both the Japan sea, and as far as Lake Toya.
Combine this with an eclectic selection of accommodation and restaurants, a thriving night life, and some of the friendliest and most hospitable locals you’ll ever meet, Niseko is most definitely a must-visit snow destination for skiing and boarding enthusiasts.
