The details that we collect from you are collected lawfully and in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (cth) as amended by the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000. The details are used entirely for the creation and operation of your insurance policy.

The following information should answer all your questions regarding privacy and security.

How do we use the information you supply?

  • In order for us to send you a complete set of insurance documents we require your name and address. A contact telephone number is necessary in case a situation should arise where we need to contact you urgently.
  • We also require an email address to send you immediate confirmation of purchase. By supplying us with an email address you are permitting us to send you policy details of your purchased insurance to the address supplied, and any other messages relevant to your policy.
  • To allow us to issue you with a valid policy we require details of your travel plans and the name of those you wish to insure.
  • For the travel insurance you purchase to be valid we need to know the age catergory of each traveller, we also ask a couple of medical questions in order to ensure you are eligible for the cover we offer. We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent.
  • We will never give your information to an outside organisation, unless it is required for the performance or your agreement with us, or it is needed for the purpose of the law.

You can seek access to and correct your personal information by contacting us. You may not access or correct personal information of others unless you have been authorised by their express consent or otherwise under law, or unless they are your Dependents under 16 years.

If you do not agree to the above or will not provide us with personal information, we may not be able to provide you with our services or products or may not be able to process your application nor issue you with a policy. In cases where we do not agree to give you access to some personal information, we will give you reasons why.

Because of the nature of our product and the destination of your travel, it may be necessary for your well-being for us to transfer your details overseas in order to properly carry out our business. By purchasing a policy that includes the possibility of travel outside Australia, you consent to us doing so.

How do we make your information secure?

We use the very latest, industry standard Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. This technology encrypts the information you enter, prevents other computers impersonating your computer and prevents third parties reading or changing your information as it travels over the internet. If you are unhappy about entering your payment information on-line, then you are more than welcome to call our office on 1300 843 843 to finalise your booking.

In closing
