I ran into a tree on the piste. After assessment by Doctors and a ski patrol I was helicoptered to Whistler Health Care centre for further tests.
I was snowboarding, fell and put a big gash in my shin. The ski patrol sent me to the Doctor to get 5 stitches.
Tripped and fell when recreational skiing on a marked piste at Keystone resort USA. No one else involved in accident. Good weather, visibility and snow conditions. Felt and heard ribs crack as I fell heavily on left side. My wife immediately called for ski patrol assistance. They transported me off the slope by ski-stretcher to an awaiting ambulance and then onwards to the Keystone Medical Centre, and we were most grateful for your positive assistance
Fell over while skiing. Hit head on ski during fall, sustaining a deep gash through eyebrow, required stiches at Eagle Ridge Hospital, Coquitlam, B.C
I was coming down some powder when I caught an edge and fell on my arm, dislocating my elbow and shoulder and cracking the bone. My friends sent for the ski patrol and they took me down the hill to the hospital, but then the Doctor had to cut my jacket off to examine my arm so the jacket is ruined.
I was twisted and thrown out of my skis when I caught an edge and I injured my left knee. I was brought down the mountain by a ski patrol who then ordered a taxi which took me to the Hospital Emergency department. I was then Immediately recomended to The Fernie Physiotherapy for treatment.
Paid $804I was snowboarding and hit a bump I didn't see and landed on my left shoulder and back and hit my head quite hard. I eventually managed to get to the bottom of the chair lift and once I was ther my vision became blurry, everything went white and I felt sick and thought I was going to pass out. After sitting down for a while my vision came back but was still feeling queasy and my shoulder and back were in some pain so ski patrol took me off the mountain and an ambulance took me to ER where they X-rayed my shoulder.
I was skiing down a slope when a skiier on my right came from an adjacent run and collided with me. I was thrown in the air and appear to have landed on my wrist. I went to the ski patrol first aid room for immediate consultation, but when pain persisted, I then decided to seek medical advice. The X-ray showed a hairline fracture.
I was snowboarding and caught a back edge, and fell backwards with both my arms extended.Although I was wearing a helmet, I hit my head really hard. I was boarding with friends who assisted me, however both of my wrists were in serious pain. We packed them in the snow immediately and as we were considering my options, a passing ski patrol assisted me down the mountain where I walked to the emergency medical centre. I had x-rays and one arm was broken & cast while the other was perhaps a broken scaphoid and put in a splint. During the next 6 weeks I had numerous follow-up consultaions, referals to physio & more x-rays.
During a skiing lesson, Mary fell badly while skiing and knew immidiately that she was injured. The mountain rescue service then evacuated her on a rescue sledge behind a snowmobile. At the hospital they carried out a visual examination and xray. "tiny flake" of bone broken off tibial plateau and suspected ACL and MCL injury. Knee imobilised with splint. Given extra strength ibuprofen.
I was snowboarding into Switzerland when I caught a front edge on my board and landed hard in icy conditions. I tried to continue but wasn't able to, fearing if I fell again I would damage my shoulder more. X-rays showed I dislocated my right shoulder (an a-c seperation) and was advised by a doctor to have reconstructive surgery. I was staying in Italy at the time of the accident and the ski-doo (ambulance) ride was necessary to get me back over the border into Cervina without having to ride the board again.
I was skiing when a beginner caused an accident that compressed my rib cage into my lungs. I have bought a four week ski pass but will be unable to ski for at least a week.
After skiing for the day we went to a bar and left our skis on the racks outside. When we went to collect them they had fallen onto the concrete and one ski was damaged beyond repair. We can't afford new skis and it has been expensive to hire new ones for the week.
I was walking down the stairs of the Chalet we were staying in when I slipped with my board. I couldn't walk and was in agony. Due to this I couldn't ski all week and it ruined my holiday.
